Club History

St. Anthony Kiwanis club began on February 20, 1962. Our club has been known for generous contributions to many local organization such as the stipends for parents to help with daycare, aid to local scout troops, scholarships to graduating seniors, aid to children's crisis nursery, aid to the food shelf. The International objective over the past several years has been to rid the world of Iodine Deficiency Disorder by helping to raise money for third world countries to develop the capacity to iodize salt.  To date the Kiwnais organization as a whole has raised over $70 million dollars.  Though this project continues to be important and funds continue to be raised, the new International focus is Children: Priority One.  The basis is mentoring, reading, etc.

Supporting the community and the World has given our Club a reason to work just a little harder to help others when we didn't think we could afford the time.

Our club now sponsors K-Kids Program at Wilshire Park Elementary School, Builder's Club at the Middle School, and a Key Club at the St. Anthony High School. Click here to read more about these programs.
